While the government is already providing substantial subsidies for education, we are making further improvements so that pre-school and tertiary education will become even more affordable. We will make sure that nobody in Singapore misses out on education because of money. You can hear my speech on the PMO website (click on the link on my profile). I also presented 80 Teck Ghee grassroots leaders with Long Service Awards. From organising events, volunteering, to conducting tuition, no effort is too small or too big for them. Their selfless and tireless contributions have much improved the lives of residents. My thanks to the performers for entertaining all of us and also the volunteers for organising the dinner.
