Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all of our Muslim friends! Performing the Haj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Millions of Muslims perform this pilgrimage annually. I wish all of our Singaporean pilgrims a meaningful haj and a safe journey home.

Back home, many will be gathering to perform their morning prayers at the mosques. The sacrificial rite of Korban (slaughtering of livestock) is performed by staff and volunteers at the various mosques. The meat will be distributed to the needy, in the spirit of giving and charity. – LHL
