I was 17 when I joined millions around the world to watch the magnificent Saturn V rocket launch from Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on 16 July 1969, and four days later on 20 July, watched in awe as a human being stepped off the Apollo 11 lunar module and onto the moon for the first time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀

stephenfelixgrosse @leehsienloong sir, the landing on the moon in 1969 was indeed an awesome achievement by the USA. But what was more interesting to note is the panel who picked that particular astronaut Neil Armstrong to step on the moon. Just imagine, of all the qualified astronauts the panel picked Neil Armstrong. Just like in Singapore we also have good leaders, good panels, good ministers to choose our future leaders. God bless our leaders and our team of future leaders.

seowyl2011 Wow, going to the moon was not so easy as said. Neil Armstrong and his partner would be lost in space if the lunar Mission had fail. Today when BBC ran the programs on landing on the moon, the suspense were real to me even though we knew it had been a successful Mission landing on moon and returned to earth 50 years ago.

xz6190 @jennifer87cn Since the horizontal latching mechanism for the flag of the Apollo 11 mission jammed, it had wrinkles, which give it the appearance of motion in still photography. Movement when installing the flag also caused it to ripple.
