From the Red Lions and combined schools band, to the mobile column and Bicentennial performances, #NDP2019 was a stirring, yet heartwarming experience for all Singaporeans. It was moving to see people from all races, religions, and walks of life come together to celebrate our nation’s birthday.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Seeing parts of our Bicentennial Story depicted in the parade reminded us that Singapore’s story stretches back before independence, and even Raffles’ arrival on our shores. Our forefathers could not have imagined how far their descendants have come building an independent, sovereign, multicultural and multi-religious country and nation. As we remember our past, let us look to the future, with hope and determination as one united people.
