We are commemorating our #SGBicentennial. This year’s National Day Rally was an occasion to talk about many things – external and domestic, our past, present and future. ⠀

The evolution of our Singapore identity has defined our views and responses to issues. When the US and China are at odds, how should Singapore – a Chinese-majority but multiracial, multicultural country – respond?⠀
⠀
I also spoke about making education affordable and accessible for all, supporting our workforce to continue working longer, protecting ourselves from climate change, and renewing our city for the next century. These plans will ensure that Singapore remains relevant in a rapidly changing world. ⠀

Our forefathers worked hard to create the Singapore we have today. As we reflect on our Bicentennial and the progress we have made, we must continue to anticipate future challenges, dream of new possibilities, and build a brighter future for our children and generations to come!⠀

mother_of_littlefingers Unfortunately, i am disappointed with your spill on climate change. Why not spur creativity amongst the population to reduce our carbon footprint? Seed funding on creative ways reduce waste or even plastic use can be explored. Look into reducing industrial waste. We may have an awesome incinerator that creates energy, however more groundup initiatives need to be encouraged for a more sustainable future.

lulugisulga Thank you very much PM Lee for all the hard work in our country. I'm so happy that our children is in a safe country. Thinking and observing all those happening in neighbouring country is really scary. We are so lucky to be a Singaporean. Thank you and thank you.

rafflesmagnus PM, appreciate your landscape the present social and economic challenges and the future existential issues for SG. An astute government with long term view and assured continuity is needed for overcoming these challenges ! This too is a significant matter.
