I did not stay active or healthy during pregnancy. I suffered from Hypremesis Gravidarum in all three pregnancy which had me in bed nearly my entire pregancies vomiting 40+ times a day, on heavy medication, and regular trips to the hospital to have fluids via an IV. I lost 10kgs in 6 weeks. I hardly ate for the first 30 weeks of pregnancy. So, finally when the vomiting slightly eased, I could eat and stackeddddddd on the weight. It was a vicious cycle in all three pregancies and I just did what I had to do to literally survive. Some days I had days were I felt great and I attempted a workout, but those days were very very few. So, I did not stay healthy or active. After each pregnancy my body had literally taken a beating. It was weak, I had esophagus damage, extreme dental damage, my core and back was so weak from laying in bed for nearly 9 months, my metabolism was shot to hell, I have permanent liver damage and times that all by three. I suffered from PTSD after each pregnancy. The only thing that helped me get through it was being able to take control of my health and fitness, and I am SO proud of myself. Because I’ve been consistent with doing BBG Program from the @sweat All from home, I’ve done this for myself and I have never felt better. My mental health had never been better and I’m confident in my own skin. But it hasn’t all been easy. I fallen off the wagon many times and had weeks of binge eating and no exercise. But I make sure I get back up. I live a balanced lifestyle and still enjoy ALL the foods, especially chocolate and donuts. For me it’s been very important to find a healthy relationship with all foods and exercise. I’m not in this to lose X amount of kgs or have an end goal. This is a lifestyle for me, one that I can maintain and that I can enjoy. It’s not a quick fix or a fad, it’s a promise to myself to to live a healthy and active lifestyle indefinitely.
