This integrated campus comprises @sengkang_general_hospital and Sengkang Community Hospital. It also includes satellite clinics of NCC, NDC, NHC, SNEC, NNI, and KKH. Together, they will provide a comprehensive range of medical services, from initial diagnosis and treatment, to recuperation and rehabilitation. For patients, this means they can focus on getting well and not spend time travelling to see specialists in different hospitals. Glad to see that both hospitals have made much progress since my last visit in December. Singaporeans are living longer, but we are getting more chronic diseases, like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Our population is aging, and smaller families means fewer family members to look after each senior. So we need to rely on hospitals, general practitioners, polyclinics and community partners to look after us.
