リー・シェンロンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (リー・シェンロンInstagram)「The pouring rain did not dampen spirits at Hwa Chong Institution’s centenary celebrations, which were held at its Bukit Timah campus last night! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The school has come a long way since it started out as The Chinese High School 100 years ago in a small building at Niven Road. It has witnessed many pivotal moments in Singapore’s history: WWII, the struggle for independence, and separation from Malaysia. In 2005, The Chinese High School merged with Hwa Chong JC to form the integrated Hwa Chong Institution. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As HCI celebrates @hci100 this year, it can look back on its illustrious history and achievements with pride. I look forward to seeing Hwa Chong continue to uphold high academic standards, promote Chinese cultural values, and prepare students for our multi-racial, multi-religious society.
