Great Wall meets water. I’m standing on a remnant of the wall on an island in Panjiakou reservoir. The wall submerges into the reservoir and re-emerges on the right side. Further sections can be seen in the midst climbing mountains in the background. Fishermen cast their nets here as the submerged sections of the wall act like an artificial reef attracting the fish stocked in its waters. #greatwallofchina #panjiakou @thesilkroadjourney
