If I say I’m tired, they say, yeah you look really rundown. If I cough, they ask if I’m coming down with a cold. If I say my flight was delayed, they say, oh yeah, the airlines are awful. If I say I’ve got to call the bank, they say, banks are awful. You know what, while there might be an element of truth to what they see, I respectfully decline to participate in that world view. _ Thoughts and words are like parcels that you send out to the world. Be very conscious about what types of thought-parcels you send and receive. If you want laughter, joy, happiness, and love then start by sending it out and refusing to receive anything that doesn’t come from the same space. Don’t feel any obligation to receive packages of crap that you didn’t order. Just let it be stamped “return to sender”. It takes a strong mind not be influenced by other people, especially when their opinions are so strong. If someone says a movie is awful, it’s hard to like it. But thinking for yourself is liberating. Spend time alone and let yourself be filled from within. Then let love and light overflow from your heart. _ You’ll never guess why I am laughing here.
