It’s all about the core. Not just in the body but in the mind and the heart. How many times have you been arguing with someone over details when the essence of what was really wrong was something much deeper? _ Whenever I find myself triggered it’s so easy to just start reacting and defending. But the teaching of yoga is about dropping your defenses and seeing right through to the heart. The paradox is that strength often looks like weakness. If you drop all your emotional warfare and just tune in, the thing that usually always surfaces is that underneath every painful situation is a hurt human being. If we can learn to embrace the hurt in others and in ourselves without weaponized our trauma to burn the house down, maybe, just maybe, we will be able to heal. _ Meanwhile, all we can do is keep practicing and forgive ourselves and our whole world a little bit more each day. _ Day 2 is Hollowbody Navasana from Class 2 of #ArmUpForAnimals on @omstarsofficial Navasana and the hollowbody shape are crucial for Mayurasana, which we are building up to. This arm balance is more core than anything else and once you understand that the lift up starts to happen so much more easily. Just FYI, I did Navasana for the pic BC the waves were coming in all around me and I didn’t want to get soaked. _ In this challenge you’ll do each class twice. In first round of practice you’ll share the more accessible prep poses that you do during the practice and in the second practice of each class you’ll share the arm balance.
