At a height of almost nine feet, ‘A travers la ville’ by Greek artist Nicos Hadjikiriakos-Ghika towers over visitors in our #London galleries. Drawing inspiration from ancient Mediterranean civilisations, Byzantine mosaics and Cubism, the artist transforms a city view into a labyrinth of geometrical shapes and colours, with walls, streets and trees juxtaposed to dizzying effect on the same plane. On view until 5pm today, and through tomorrow, ahead of Tuesday’s sale of ‘20th Century Art – A Different Perspective’.
