Parks in New York offer one of the city’s most coveted and valuable amenities: space. “You very rarely have room to spread out and not think about getting in somebody’s way,” said @arnold_daniel, a photographer who spent 2 months this summer making photos in New York City’s open spaces. “There’s this psychological relief to them.” He went to green spaces in all 5 boroughs: @centralparknyc and Washington Square Park in Manhattan; McCarren Park and @prospect_park in Brooklyn; Willowbrook Park in Staten Island; Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens; and Barretto Point Park in the Bronx. His photos portray each park’s unique ecosystem. “Sheep Meadow is a very romantic space,” he said of this photo taken in @centralparknyc. “It’s like a bottle-of-wine area.” Swipe left to see more of the photos @arnold_daniel took while on assignment for @nytimesfashion. #thelooknyt
