“When I started at ‘The Office,’ I probably couldn’t have named 2 sitcoms with women that I liked, and now the only shows that I like either star a woman or a minority,” @ミンディ・カリング told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ in a recent interview. But perhaps even more striking, she said, is a conversation she had at the Met Gala this year — with @hasanminhaj, @rizahmed, @アジズ・アンサリ, Donald Glover and @bandrybarry. “They were all Indian, Pakistani or black. And they’re all funny, young and good-looking,” she said. “For years I was the only person in the room. So it was a joyful experience in 2017.” This year has been a whirlwind year for the actress, producer and author. Her series @mindyprojecthulu is entering its 6th and final season; she’s expecting her first child; and she’s also segueing into “Champions,” her midseason @nbc series about a slacker gym owner whose high school fling drops their son on his doorstep.
