As floodwaters receded in many Houston neighborhoods today and the storm moved through northeastern Louisiana and into Mississippi, some Houston residents returned to their homes. In northeast Houston, @tamirhasacellphone took this photo of Devon Archie trying to open a sliding door at his father's flood-damaged home. (Swipe left to see 4 more photos.) | In Crosby, Texas, @andrewburton11 photographed Roxanne Villanueva as she helped carry her boyfriend's mother's possessions through floodwater. | Curtis Manning looked around his home in northeast Houston, where @tamirhasacellphone photographed him, as well. | @andrewburton11 photographed Patty Perez, who also has a home in Crosby, carrying her possessions through the water in a garbage bag. | And Rodolfo Ruiz took religious paintings down from his walls at an apartment complex in North Shore. The complex, where @photospice took the last photo in this series, faces Greens Bayou, which overflowed during the worst of the storm. Visit the link in our profile for updates on Harvey.
