Celebrating Earth Day with lots of green! ???Let's remember to be kind to our planet while we're nourishing our bodies. Here are a couple staples in my house that we use to help cut down on waste:

1) I use mason jars for almost everything! They're particularly great for prepping your smoothie ingredients in advance (you can freeze them!) so you don't need to use + throw away plastic baggies.

2) Metal straws! If I drink my smoothie without a straw, I usually end up with a green mustache (that is no joke!), so I almost always use a straw. Metal straws are my favorite because they're washable and I can use them again and again!

3) Counter-top composter. Strawberry tops? Apple cores? Veggie peelings? They go straight into my counter-top composter. I use this compost in potted pots + in my garden. It's a great soil conditioner and helps cut down on landfill waste!
