i have been waiting all winter for this kind of snow day - the kind where the world outside goes silent and a beautiful stillness takes hold - it is a perfect excuse to make endless cups of tea and curl up under a blanket a few candles light for good measure - a little bit of reading for a snowy afternoon is over at the loveliest @thecoastaltable if you care to read a little interview i did with them and find the recipe for a root vegetable chowder there too - warming an wonderful for a day such as this - I'm looking forward to a few rounds of cross country skiing over the freshly snow covered fields once the storm lets up. and I've my @mauvielusa copper pot already simmering away on the stove filled with a lemony white bean and thyme soup in anticipation of the need to warm bellies and cold fingers and toes
