i made up a huge pot of root vegetable chowder over the weekend and the best part of this sleepy monday is a bowl full of belly warming leftovers on the table this evening - (find the recipe in the blog archives) it's also an excuse to put this gorgeous @mauvielusa copper soup pan into service - it makes monday night leftovers seem a little extra special and elevates our humble meal to something extraordinary - this is certainly a piece which will be used many times in the years ahead - there are soups on rotation in our kitchen at every season - rich and warming in winter and bright green and light in spring - in already dreaming of spring pea soups - this aptly named heritage pot lends itself already to all the feelings I feel for kitchen tools which outlive their cooks - copper pans are certainly one of those objects which take on a magic of their own -capturing the spirit of the kitchen and the history of the recipes made in it - I'm smitten to say the least
