This evening, Muslims in Singapore welcomed the Islamic New Year of 1438 Hijrah.

The first month of the Islamic year, Muharram, is one of the four holy months in the Islamic calendar. For Muslims it is a time for prayer and reflection, and to renew their commitment to do their best.
