Am back home!

Spoke at the Special Session of the Nikkei International Conference on the Future of Asia yesterday. I talked about China’s growth and emergence, and Japan’s need to strengthen its outward engagement.
The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will help Japan to make domestic changes, and become more competitive. Japan’s Diet will be debating the TPP soon, and I hope that they will ratify it.
Japan has played an important and positive role in Asia for decades, promoting peace, stability and development. May it continue doing so for many years.
