A colourful diorama complete with flora and fauna comes to life as we welcomed our friends from ASEAN to Singapore. The giant ladybirds must be thriving on the grass in the Stadium! :) In keeping with the SEA Games theme, "Celebrate the Extraordinary", the Opening Ceremony was colourful, imaginative and evocative. It also paid tribute to our athletes, past and present, who have brought pride to Singapore.
A big thank you to the organising committee and participants for a spectacular and memorable show.
Am following the situation in Sabah closely. Will update on our missing and injured students and teachers on my Facebook page. The parents and families left on an RSAF C130 at 9:30am this morning for Kota Kinabalu. Hoping for the best. – LHL
