Farm women cluster in the shade of a tree in the Wakoro Region of Mali to harvest and pick groundnuts (peanuts). Soumja Traore is part of the social tradition that centers around this activity, with stories being told as the work progresses. There is much laughter but it is dusty, hot work. They had a lot of fun with this visiting photographer and made me feel at home. Thanks to one and all.
