The sun goes down over the Waukee, Iowa water tower. I grew up on a small farm on the edge of this town. Coming back here 20 years later, very little looks the same. Most of the family-owned soybean and corn fields have been replaced by suburban homes, strip malls and golf courses. My own mom and dad's farm house was sold, torn down and buried long ago. Waukee is the fastest growing school district in the state. My graduating class was 60 kids. This year's was closer to 500.
