It's Tommy's turn to have a night alone with both babies who still have colds. ✨🙏 I know everyone moves with motherhood at their own pace - and some people seem to get some 'freedom' back at different times, but it still feels like a total mission to go out in the evening. I don't know how some people get it together so quickly, as before I had Alf I always thought I'd be the type of mum who'd be out loads. I didn't get it or consider that the temperament of the baby can have so much to do with it. With Alf, my first work event was the NTAs at 10 months PP and even though it was just 2 hours it felt huge! With Ada, there's so much chaos and logistic behind the scenes (with childminders finishing at 5, Tommy working in the office, but me having to leave for work and think about pumping). But I'm proud of myself for doing it at my pace! So please don't compare yourself to people who make leaving young babies look effortless to go out - whether it's for work or social - because I bet I isn't! ✨ Anyway, I'm excited to be out after dark.
