Fear of the reaction. Fear of abuse. Just knowing that it's likely it will never go to trial or worse - that we won't be believed. That we'll be discredited. I think we like to think that these men are evil. That they are creatures that waln around in the shadows. But often, they are the men who are nice to us. Be careful how you react to stories, because it might be there's a girl in your family or circle with an experience to share who fears the reaction. They'll be watching yours.
