It also stimulates the organs of the abdomen as well as the neck and leaves me feeling so renewed and ready to take on my day. To advance this pose I like to extend one arm at a time, directly behind me, to challenge my balance as I breathe into my foundations and fill my throat, solar plexus and sacral chakras with love and light. Transitioning into Child's Pose from here to take my third eye to my mat is such a grounding and humbling experience that I will never tire from the sheer gratitude and peace felt.
