It has a large area and is protected by the 2005 Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance. There are three marked routes over cedar boardwalks specially built to avoid stepping on the valuable plants such as sphagnum moss, which grows in colonies and stores lots of water. 🥾🌳 In autumn, the grasses in the Tadewara Wetlands turn a delightful golden brown in fall beautifully contrasting with the mountains on the horizon. From the elevated boardwalk, it is almost as if you are floating as you watch the grasses sway in the breeze.
