I’ve been in the fitness game for a LONG time. I have seen and heard it all and there are a few things that just drive me a little crazy 😜 here are 5 of my pet peeves. Lets dive in!

1. “You have to repeat workouts to see results” FALSE. This has been a misconception for a long time. You do not need to repeat workouts to see results. I personally have never repeated a workout, non of my one on one clients when I was training in person repeated workouts and my program never repeats workouts. What gets you results is staying engaged with what you’re doing and determination to improve. Focusing on staple movements and progressing your load overtime with those exercises is what gets you stronger.
2. “High reps don’t make you stronger” FALSE. Putting your body through all kinds of stress requires your body to learn to adapt to that and become stronger so that it can perform.
3. “Eat whatever you want” FALSE. well, i mean you can eat whatever you want… should you? Well I disagree. You should really be focusing on the ingredients of your food. What you’re putting into your body doesn’t just affect how it physically looks but it affects your mental health. Eat quality food.
4. “Ignore the scale” again, you can if you want. Should you be obsessed with the scale? No, you shouldn’t be obsessed with anything but you should be in tune with your body and do whatever you can to learn and understand it. We only get one body to live in, don’t you want to understand it as much as possible?
5. “Full Body exercises and pointless” FALSE. The only people I actually hear say this are body building men. Full body exercises challenge your entire body and coordination improving your everyday life and mental health.
