Especially when Tommy went back to work! Obviously I'm unable to even lift him in and out of his highchair! Given Alf was off for two weeks for the Easter holidays (his childminder doesn't work weekends) and it coincided with week 5&6 postpartum, I decided to go and stay in with my in-laws in France. That way, Tommy could join for the long weekend - so he flew out with Alf the day after me with Alf. I honestly hit the jackpot with my in-laws! It's been SO nice to have family time out here. I lived and studied in France and so I love getting to practice my French too. ✨ Celebrating my birthday in Eymet 🎂🎈 ✨ Watching Alf and Ada's relationship develop slowly slowly ✨ Having lunch at the Vigiers golf club and watching Alf play on the golf course for hours ⛳ ✨ Taking a trip on the train to Bordeaux for the day as a family of 4 - our first adventure just the 4 of us! ✨ Ada taking a bottle of expressed milk from daddy (a HUGE thing for us as Alf never took a bottle so I had to feed him 24/7 for a whole year). ✨Spending Easter looking at the market in Villarreal and tasting the nicest cookie EVER at a patisserie before moving to Montpazier to enjoy lunch at the famous brewery (Biere de la Bastide). ✨ Seeing Alf run around in the French countryside - he's really really started to get confident on his feet. It's honestly such a nice part of France near Bergerac airport! We've even discovered softplays and animal farms! I honestly can't believe I came out here with a newborn and am leaving with a 0-3 baby! I feel sort of sad these 6 weeks are over already. It's going so fast I want time to stand still. Don't get any bigger baby girl! 🥹❤️ It's also from here that life gets more real. It's been so nice having constant help and support from both mine and Tommy's parents. I've even been treated to my cereal and tea in bed every morning. Now it's back to the real world ready to face the highs and challenges and juggles of a family of 4.
