The most frequently asked question I receive is: how often you should train your glutes?

Actually that’s a lie. The most frequently asked question I receive is: “is your name actually Dannibelle?”

Spoiler: It’s not.

Anyway.

The answer to the glutes question largely depends on a range of factors including individual muscular recovery (largely based on genetics), the types of exercises you are performing, your previous training experience, your current fitness/strength level and how much of a glute maniac you are (I’m right up there).

Individuals can train their glutes anywhere between 2 - 6 times per week but as a general guide, 3 times per week is the sweet spot. Now obviously when training glutes (unless you’re doing pure isolated work) your legs are working too so it’s important to factor that into recovery. Our new training split offers dedicated hamstring and quad focused sessions and a purely glute focused session (100% glutey goodness).

We polled our @datbootybydb clients to find that this was the most highly requested structure. So basically: You asked, we listened (and I spent weeks writing programs and staring at spreadsheet, eyes almost bleeding). Can’t wait for you to try this new programming!
