GLUTE ACTIVATION
Did you know that by activating your glutes (waking up the muscles) before your lower body workouts you are actually maximising the benefits of each exercise. Glute activation is a series of warm-up exercises which aim to switch on your glutes before your workout, so they do the work, rather than relying on surrounding muscles. My goal this challenge is to build lower body strength so I always make sure to activate my glutes before my workouts and love using a resistance band. 💪

So if your goal like mine is to build your lower body strength, I want you to try these glute activation exercises before your next lower body workout if you have a resistance band!

✅ Crab Walk - 24 reps
✅ Zig-Zag Walk (Forward/Backward) - 24 reps
✅ Squat - 12 reps
✅ Donkey Kick - 24 reps (12 per side)
✅ Fire Hydrant - 24 reps (12 per side)
✅ Glute Bridge - 12 reps
✅ Glute Bridge Hold & Opening - 12 reps
