When Lady & Snoop first met Alf. 👶🏼🐩🐈❤️

I wasn't really filming this to share it, but I've had so many questions about how my fur babies are coping with the baby's arrival, I thought I'd share the moment they met.

I was slightly apprehensive about how Lady & Snoop would adapt to Alf.

Snoop is nearly 7 now and although he's been introduced to 3 cats in the home, he's always been top dog (perfect expression), so I was worried about him getting jealous. Especially as he's not been that good with children, as they always chase him in public places and he gets scared.
Lady is the most affectionate and intuitive cat ever, but she's also highly sensitive and I've made no secret of her history of unpredictably going to the loo where she shouldn't. She was very good with my bump, but had never met a child or baby before.

In order to prepare, I watched the pet training videos in The Mindful Birth Bump & Beyond online course by @themindfulbirthgroup & @komu_uk (gifted to me, but highly recommended).

So when Alf came home, we left him in the corridor and gave the pets some attention first. Then we carried him into the kitchen and allowed Snoop & Lady to come to him. I just want to say that neither of my pets have ever been violent or aggressive with any person or animal, so whilst we stayed close we were confident Alf wasn't in danger.

Anyway, a few weeks later and Snoop is being a dream. He watches over Alf and kisses him when he's crying, but we're also making a huge effort to ensure he's still getting the same love and attention as before. We never force them together either.
Lady was so scared at first and is pretty indifferent to him now. She does come up for cuddles when he's with us though. Our biggest concern is her going to the loo where she shouldn't (like Alf's pram), so we're slightly on edge all the time. We're trying to get to the bottom of it, we've spoken to professionals and have the Feliway plugs all over our flat. I'm worried she's not getting the attention she needs and deserves... we've been debating for over a year whether she'd be happier somewhere else. But we love her so these are decisions we don't make hastily or lightly. ❤️🐈🐩
