As the UK has just announced tier 5 lockdown - the strictest restrictions to date - everything is closed including schools again, so now I must work full time, study, raise my two children alone AND home school them as I’m a single parent. I’m gutted that gyms are staying closed but working out from home is just about keeping me sane. I don’t speak as much about my children on social media as I used to because they’re not a part of my work in the public eye and are growing up now and becoming more independent. I try to keep my private life private, yet am incredibly proud and blessed to have such wonderful babies to share my life with. They are my driving force in all that I do, my reason to get up and show up and I’d walk the world for them ten times over just to make sure they’re safe, loved and well. I know the pandemic is hitting so many people so hard right now; testing patience, dedication and abilities and it isn’t easy juggling so many factors that we’re not used to all at once. But I want you to take a moment and please congratulate yourself and your efforts because you’ve already come so far and I know that you’ve got this, we WILL come through this together! For all of the single parents putting in double shifts, going above and beyond to provide for and educate their children whilst still working and keeping a clean and healthy home 24/7 - you rock! I’m proud to be a single parent, putting the health and well-being of my children first and removing toxic people and bad role models from their lives - sometimes it isn’t right to stay together for the kids because peace, love and a safe space is far better than little ones thinking screaming, shouting and infidelity is normal. If you’re blessed to have a strong single parent raise you please hold them tight and let them know how loved and appreciated they truly are, it’s not a weakness being a lone parent but such an incredible strength and proof of unconditional love 🧡 #singleparent #singlemum #singlemumlife #mumoftwo #parentlife
