I learned to be more gentle and vulnerable with myself and with others. I ran more miles than I ever have and even fell in love with that b*tch. My greatest learning this year was that it’s not actually about the race day, the deadline, the set date. It’s about the decision to deliver. When you decide you’re truly going to do something and do it, regardless of a deadline or date telling you to, that’s the real magic. And when you keep doing it, that’s mastery. Whilst it feels like there were many things we didn’t do this year, I’m still most thankful for what we did do together and know that we’ll carry these learnings through with us into this next orbit around the sun. Thank you for letting me invade your quarantine bubbles with my hotsauce burpees & all their spicy friends. I hope that one of the things 2020 taught all of us was greater respect and appreciation of our bodies, our health, our families, friends and communities. First and foremost you are a team with yourself, then you join many teams with your circles outside of yourself. 2020 gave us the time and space to work on ourselves so we can continue to grow, shine and care for our collectives. To everyone that moved with me this year, if you loved or hated the burpees, the glute activation, the switch climbers - THANK YOU!
