Allow me to explain these two mirror selfies of me my darlings. Different people will react differently to how you look, dress and behave, it’s a given that you can’t please all of the people all of the time. In the past I’ve had a partner say to me “Why can’t you make more of an effort with how you look? Wear your hair down, put on some makeup and tighter clothing and try harder to look pretty” so I did and when other guys started to notice me he got mad at me and told me not to do it anymore, so I stopped. Being a glamour/bikini model from the age of 18yrs I’ve always celebrated body confidence and am very comfortable in my own skin, yet I understand that not everybody else may be. In the past I met a partner who knew me for being glam and appreciated my confidence and choice of bold tight clothing, but with time he said “Why can’t you cover up more and dress down, stop with all of these colours and cleavage and leave something to the imagination!” So I did, I wore big jumpers and mostly black and grey to please him and not draw attention to myself, he lost interest and enthusiasm for me and chased other women who wore bright colours and had cleavage. Regardless of how others dress and feel WE can be anything we choose, wear anything we choose and date anyone that we choose, but we must NEVER try to change somebody into something that they are not. Don’t meet a swan and ask it to become a camel and don’t climb a tree if you’d rather be swimming - you get my jist? The more openness, honesty and freedom that we have to communicate and be ourselves the more effective and positive our relationships will be. Bending over backwards to please others will only ever lead to breaking yourself.
