It’s a lifestyle that’s in my bones and down to my very core to be thankful and appreciate life for this immense opportunity of growth and self awareness that we all have. Yet whilst the results of our physical healthy are instantly clear to see, our mental health is a major factor in how we cope. In times when you are stressed, sad, hurt, broken inside and struggling the knock on effect can result in turning to food, drink and drugs etc for comfort. Whilst some overeat for comfort others struggle to find an appetite, can’t sleep, can’t think straight, can’t control their emotions - the list of symptoms are endless. Mental health is just as important as physical health and something we should all speak about more freely, honestly and frequently. The body mind and soul need to be aligned in order to live peacefully and with true happiness. When you start working with your body, instead of against it, everything becomes easier. So do the same with your heart and soul. Just as I’m sure everyone has found 2020 difficult, I too have been through a journey of change and personal growth and am incredibly thankful for this experience. I feel glowing from within, a Phoenix rising from the flames (to match the tattoo on my ribs) from a journey of freedom, love and laughter and I could not be more thankful to the universe for providing me with this precious gift. The darkest of days will always give way to the most stunning sunrise; please know if you are struggling in life, to love yourself or be loved by others, acceptance and freedom can only come from being yourself.
