Along the side of a road that leads to Delhi, there was a man whose job is to hold an umbrella in the elaborate procession for Chintu’s wedding. Not an ordinary umbrella, this parasol was draped in sparkly beads lit through wires running up the pole from a battery attached to his waist. He was the proudest electrified umbrella man ever.
