Not so much for the story—no images from Bhagalpur were printed in this month's magazine. Somehow, in less than two days, so much photography and video occurred under and beside this bridge, the Vikramshila Setu Bridge. The night gave even more in this third largest city in Bihar, where a mere moment waiting with farmers for the pole man to carry us off a sandbar, was gentle specialness, and more strange curiosity across the water. The next morning, we walked across the 4.7 kilometer (3 miles) bridge over India’s holiest river...it felt the right thing to do.
