This is little Tanu. I met the sweet sleepyhead when spending the afternoon with Tanu’s mama (mother), Rajini, at their home in Caron village in West Bengal, India. Rajini is a tea plucker at the Looksan Tea Estate a short distance away. When Tanu woke up, Rajini made chai for us, and later in the day asked us to stay for dinner. We had already spent hours at her home of redness, thankful for the kind offer. Rajini’s biscuits with sweet cups of chai was more than enough.
