Video by @tobyharriman Ywama is a village crisscrossed with water near Inle Lake, Myanmar. I made many fond memories in the village—dining at the Golden Moon restaurant, meeting women from the Padaung tribe with “long necks,” and visiting my tour guide’s home. His wooden home on stilts was multiple stories tall, with windows thrown open. You could almost always hear motorboats buzzing by, since mostly everything in Ywama is surrounded by water and boats are the main form of transportation. For anyone curious, the pagoda in the beginning of this video is called Aung Mingalar.
