Spending our Sunday morning in the garden, under the walnut tree.

It’s everything, right now. We can hold hands and be affectionate outside our own home without worrying about what the neighbors in the campground might do or say. It’s letting the dog roam free in the gardens. It’s hanging our daughter’s swing from the maple tree. It’s finding a lone river birch and a lone pine, and laughing happily at the irony, the what-are-the-chances?

It is walking amongst the flowers and trees and grasses and learning their names, it is digging my hands into the dirt to plant more.

It is bare feet and coffee on the front porch in the morning, and magic lights and a glass of white on the long and warm summer evenings.

It is quiet in the right ways: wind in leaves, birds chirping, and the little fountain flowing.
