It has been over a week since I’ve slept here, and now it feels like death. The loss of cracks and holes in the walls is moving at surreal speed with Santiago and his team. They’re also making a mess. This room I sometimes sleep that overlooks mountains of the Berkshires reminded of the too many body bags I’ve seen in wars and disasters. A red-flowered pillow I often use covered as a corpse at a crime scene, made me feel I had died. This evening I heard the first airplane in over two months pass high overhead, a sound of hope we’ll be working again.
