Both visa offices are still closed, except for “life & death emergencies”, I was told. Massachusetts extended the stay at home orders again, from tomorrow until Monday to reassess opening some businesses, slowly. It’s good that stores may open, gently please, but it does not really affect me. I don’t work in the Berkshires, I only live here to be in nature. After a walk along the river with @elfriede.the.great.dane in the late afternoon, we returned to the home of love, cracks and uneven floors. We walked up chaffed stairs to the room my son, Richard, stays in…another empty nest while he enjoys some time with his girlfriend near Boston. And there it was, everything coming at us. Even Frida could feel it…a storm was approaching. Within seconds the sky went dark, the wind and rained came quickly, and just as swiftly I let go of the melancholy, remembering everywhere, even here, is amazingness. I don’t want to be grounded in this home forever, this too shall pass.
