I spent most of my early 20's worrying. I used to be such a worrier. I'd honestly overthink overthinking. If I left a group I'd worry they hated me and would be talking about me. If I did a job I'd overthink everything I could have done better. It was maddening. Finally in 2014, I went on my first solo-travelling trip to Bali to do a bit of soul searching and I ended up meeting a lady called Tunjung. It was a bit of an Eat, Pray, Love moment as she was technically a spiritual healer. She asked me why I wasted so much energy worrying and then told me about her current situation. She said, "Ashley, I'm a single mother, which is already difficult and frowned upon in my village, and in a month's time I'm going to be homeless because I have to move out of my house and I can't afford another one. I have no one to help me. But am I worrying? No. Because will worrying get me a house? No. Will it make me a better mother? No. All I can do is trust the process and go with the flow. I'm spending my time and energy working and being a good and supportive mother, and that's all I can do. Worrying won't solve my problems." It really put things into perspective for me and I think about her often, but I always sensed she'd be ok because she had such a positive attitude and outlook. It also made me realise how small a lot of my worries are, and I always remind myself of her. ❤️ There's no doubt times are unpredictable, and it's definitely going to be tough, but worrying won't bring a cure. We don't know how long we have to ride this out, and worrying won't make it shorter. Nor will it bring us a paycheck. All we can do is help each other when the time comes when we need to. I hope Tunjung's story maybe helps you to worry a little less, in the same way it did for me. Our energy is better put into something that can make a difference, even if that's something as simple as being a calming presence for someone else. ✌️❤️🦋」3月15日 22時51分 - ashleylouisejames

Want to know how I learned to worry less? 🤸‍♀️💫
I know there's a lot of worry in the world at the moment, and so I wanted to share a story that I think of almost everyday, and which stopped me from worrying about anything.
I spent most of my early 20's worrying. I used to be such a worrier. I'd honestly overthink overthinking. If I left a group I'd worry they hated me and would be talking about me. If I did a job I'd overthink everything I could have done better. It was maddening.
