Life Update: Now that it’s been a couple weeks since surviving the awfulness of a ruptured hemorrhaging ovarian cyst ((swipe to see how far i’ve come 🙌🏻)), I wanted to talk about the recovery process & the help that my @SteadyMD doctor has given me. ✨ —
I don’t have insurance so having a doctor I could get in touch with asap to go over my symptoms and decide if it was an emergency situation or not before I went and blew all my savings in the ER... was the most comforting thing possible. @leahrobertsmd helped me stay calm and collected and gave me a game plan on what would help manage the pain until I could get in for some scans at my regular OBGYN. 🙏🏻 So thankful! 🙏🏻

@SteadyMD is a great resource for when things like this come up. I’m able to text, call, or video chat with my doctor whenever I have a question. They will either diagnose over the phone and prescribe meds when necessary OR help me navigate whether or not to go to urgent care/see a specialist/etc. AND after the fact, they can help with any follow-ups and suggestions long-term. 👩⚕️ —

There is no price on good health. Whether your an athlete or just person trying to do what is best for their family. The system sucks in the states, even when you have insurance. Turning a blind eye to the health issue in this country is criminal. Kris should not have to spend her life savings attempting to save her own life. You are fortunate to have a partner in life who can help support you in life. It’s the person living paycheck to paycheck who really suffers. They loose their home, and job when they have to miss work.

A true blessing that recovery is going well, KP! HOWEVER, this is a wake-up... Do consider getting a high deductible, major medical health insurance policy. Monthly premium rates are low, and you can continue paying out-of-pocket for small, routine healthcare. You've been very blessed so far, but the older you get, it's simply a matter of time before larger/more costly concerns will happen. In the meantime, continued GOOD HEALTH!

All the more reason for you and your hubby to move to the UK 🇬🇧 Free health care bitches!! (Well, sort of free... and often horrifyingly overcrowded.... - but still!!)
Glad you are getting back to full health. You’ve had a bit of a cruddy run of luck lately, but nothing lasts forever, not even bad luck!! Keep inspiring 🤩🤩

Glad you are doing better. As a Canadian, I will never understand how the wealthiest nation on the planet can’t, or won’t, find a way to provide decent, affordable healthcare for all citizens. No one should go bankrupt to deal with an emergency or have to question whether to seek medical care because of the cost.

I just experienced this for my fourth time around almost the same exact time as you! The pain is horrible, they put me on IV pain medication in the ER just to get me to stop moving because you obviously can't get comfortable! I'm sorry girl 💕 I know how terrible this is and wouldn't wish it on any woman! ❤️
