Say “hi” to the Indian bullfrog (Hoplobatrachus tigerinus)! In addition to India, this semiaquatic frog might be spotted in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. It’s on the larger end, growing up to 7 inches (17.8 centimeters) with a weight of around 1.3 pounds (0.59 kilograms). It isn’t a picky eater and pounces on a variety of critters including insects, earthworms, mice, and even small birds. During breeding season, males turn from an olive green color to a brighter yellow color with contrasting blue vocal sacs; females remain olive green.
