Eli always knew he was conceived using a sperm donor. But he was 19 before he discovered he had half siblings — 32 of them, it turns out. @elibadenlasar, a photographer and now 20, spent 10 months and traveled to 16 states around the U.S. to photograph his siblings. This is his family portrait. “Looking through the camera, I had a feeling I couldn’t shake: that these people were all versions of me, just formed in different parts of the country — but were also strangers who might as well have been picked out of a hat,” he wrote. Read the full story from @nytmag at the link in our bio. The 1st picture is a self-portrait by Eli, who also shot the rest of the photos.

There needs to be some regulation to stop this from ever happening. Limit the amount of times a man can donate to a sperm bank. Put his name on a national registry when he does. Let other facilities know that he ?? has ?? done ?? this ?? before. This is just so messy and irresponsible.

Striking images! @daniwriter addresses this topic beautifully in her latest memoir, “Inheritance.” I highly recommend it for anyone who reads this article and is interested in exploring the topic — the emotions, the ethics, the questions — more...

Aren’t there enough donors? They shouldn’t be using same donors for so many people, what if 2 of them end up together without never knowing they share same DNA? Quite risky!

Vince Vaughn made a movie called Delivery Man where he was the father of I don't remember 500 kids? Sort of based on true stories that we don't really know much about
