2 nights, 20 candidates, 4 hours and 1 unforgettable collision between former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris. The first 2020 Democratic debates drew a huge number of viewers, 15.3 million on the first night alone, and their reactions could reshape the race. While Biden remains atop the polls, he’s a fragile front-runner, and what will be remembered was Harris’s withering assault on him. “I would like to speak on the issue of race,” she declared on Thursday. The ensuing exchange over busing, integration and segregationists showcased Harris at her best, and she commanded the stage in a way no one else has done. In Thursday’s debate, Senator Bernie Sanders was mostly a non-factor. While he and Senator Elizabeth Warren debated on opposite nights, the ideological collision course between the 2 became ever clearer. Read our takeaways from the debates at the link in our bio. @nytmills shot this photo.

Interesting how after Bernie 2016 campaign and successful sabotage by Democrats in favor of Hillary, everyone in mainstream Democrat suddenly became "progressive" or at least decided to prove themselves so (maybe except Warren, but she always somewhat seems confusing, and/or indecisive). American people should make a proper judgement and vote in favor of Sanders in order to save the world. #Bernie2020

Kamala was a judge and now a senator. Now she is kicking the one man who helped her be the judge and the senator she is. Should she thank Biden for his work? Isn’t life a little better today than 45 years ago for blacks in America? If she wants to become president to just talk about black rights. She can forget my vote. She not even visited the poor whites. The ones making 20k a year. Seriously. Any

Bernie doesn’t give a reality-TV moment or pander and so he’s a “non-factor” even though he is the reason many of these conversations even exist and called out the military-industrial complex, pharmaceutical/insurance industry, the oligarchy, money in politics and much more in his powerful closing statement?! #bernietulsi2020

Let’s remember, Bernie was being shamed on Washington for being a self-named democratic socialist while Elizabeth Warren was still a Republican. Bernie introduced many of the ideas that are staples in democratic campaigns this election before they were cool; in simplest terms, he is the OG.

If Bernie was such a non-factor, why was everyone on stage using parts of his platform? And how are the two on an ideological collision course? Nonsense. They both have similar goals and approaches. I imagined the nytimes to be more in touch than this. Sad.

Kamala said "America doesn't want to see a food fight. They want food on the table." She then threw a full dinner plate in Biden's face with her rigged ambushed about her little bussing story. Many people weren't for forced bussing. Geesh.
