This? ?? It might not look like much but it brought me to tears, happy tears ? Today I went to the gym for the first time in 7 weeks. The gym is my happy place and I didn’t realise how emotional returning to it would be (I mean I literally couldn’t stop crying as I did my workout - god knows that the other gym goers thought ??). I didn’t do anything crazy, just my usual rehab routine and some light weights but damn it felt incredible. I felt like myself, back where I belong, doing what I love ? I could not be more proud of my body. 7 weeks ago I had major surgery, I was bed bound and struggled to walk. My journey to recovery has been a rocky one and by far the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life. But honestly, it’s made me stronger than ever and I feel like I can conquer any challenge life throws at me now ? Bring on the rest of my recovery. This is just the beginning ??
