What an absolute honour to be invited to 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister herself this afternoon for International Women's Day. We put WAY to much pressure on women to act a certain way or dress a certain way. We feel a sense of failure if we're not in a relationship or married by a certain age, and we hear people describe weddings as the proudest day of their lives (no shade to those who feel this, but for those that don't dream of this it can feel a bit isolating). ❤️
Well here I am, little old me from Haltwhistle. Slut-shamed as a teen and made to feel like I had to dress a certain way to fit in. Here I am at no. 10 Downing Street, surrounded by amazing women and dressed in a lilac suit. I'm single and I'm 30 and I'm only just starting to shine. ♀️?? #iwd
